Keith Blackburn, born Wakefield, Yorkshire, 1943
1958-1963 Studied at Wakefield Technical and Art College
1965 Lived in London, writing "experimental" version of first novel while working as a labourer in London Zoo.

1966-1975 Worked as a labourer in various parts of the country, painting and drawing during spare time and writing several unpublished novels, also wrote various drafts of the first published novel entitled ‘Between Septembers’.
1975-1978 Followed a teaching training course at Nevilles Cross College Durham.
1978-1989 Worked as part-time lecturer in arts and crafts with adult education and with the mentally handicapped while painting and drawing in own time.
1989 Became full-time self-employed artist.
1990 Moved to Cornwall. Rewrote present draft of ‘Between Septembers’.
1991 Invited to become Member of St.Ives Society of Artists.
1979-1991 Exhibitions in London, Cornwall and Yorkshire.
1991 Travelled to Antibes and Italy and visited Holland for the first time.
1992 to the present, has partly lived and worked in Holland, where he has held several one-man exhibitions in Rotterdam (Gallery Maas), Golfclub Kralingen, Golfclub Hilversum and in Amsterdam.
1994 Publication of first novel ‘Between Septembers’.
1995 Weekend exhibition Brouwersgracht, Amsterdam.
1995 One-man show Winecellar Brouwersgracht
1996 One-man show Gallery Palmgracht, Amsterdam
1997 Publication of second book ‘Lamentations of a Young Pig’.
